Kazakhstan-China Main Gas Pipeline Capacity Expansion (First Section) Project
Project goal
to ensure the transit of Turkmen and Uzbek gas to the People’s Republic of China, the export of Kazakh gas to the People’s Republic of China, and the uninterrupted supply of gas to the southern regions of Kazakhstan.
The task
Constructing additional compressor stations, connecting them and the linear part to the SCADA system in South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and Almaty regions.
What has been done
Supply, installation, commissioning and start-up of F&G (Fire and Gas), PA/GA (Public Address and General Alarm), CCTV (Closed Circuit Television), telecommunications and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for the line section and compressor stations of string “C”.
Result
In 2018, the implementation of the Kazakhstan-China Main Gas Pipeline Capacity Expansion Project (String “C”) was completed. As a result, the capacity of the Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline was increased to 55 bcm per year.
